North Tan Uyen responds to World Environment Day

North Tan Uyen’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) in collaboration with Tan Thanh communal People’s Committee yesterday held a ceremony to launch activities in response to the 2016 World Environment Day with the theme of “Nature’s Call and Our Actions”.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Nguyen Minh Tam, Vice-Chairman of the district’s FFC said that the ceremony was held to encourage organizations and individuals to be friendlier with the environment, stress the importance of environmental protection and call for the whole society to join hands to take measures to minimize waste from production facilities, schools and public places. Each family also needs to actively get involved in classifying, collecting and treating waste towards a green-clean and nice environment. On this occasion, the organizers also set up the Executive Board of “self-managing group on environmental protection” of hamlet 5 in Tan Thanh commune.

After the ceremony, Youth Union members, pupils and locals took part in cleaning up rural roads in Tan Thanh commune.
