Okra has become a kind of tree bringing a stable income for many farmers in localities.

Okra is a kind of vegetable having a short growing time and adapting to tropical climate. If being invested properly, okra will offer a fair income of VND60-100mil per ha per crop.

At present, okra is priced at about VND6,000-7,000 per kg. And, the kind of vegetable is easy for cultivation, so many farmers choose to grow it. Nguyen Van Xay in Thanh Hoi commune, Tan Uyen district, said “My family has lived on growing okra”.

Presently, Thanh Hoi and Uyen Hung communes in Tan Uyen district are localities having many areas of okra growing best.
