The Party Committee of Phu Tho ward in the last tenure overcame difficulties and built up the local solid political system, especially promoted “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” among cadres and Party members. After five years of following Uncle Ho’s teachings, there were obvious changes in awareness and action of the local cadres and Party members.

Many exemplary role-models in studing and following Uncle Ho’s teachings were discovered during the past five years. For example, the Party cell of the ward’s credit fund was very successful with the model of “Raising piggybank” to upgrade gratitude houses; the People’s Committee of the ward with the campaign of “Smile at workplace”; the Youth Union of the ward with the program of “Free mobile puncture mending” on the annual Thien Hau Lady Temple festival…

Thanks to well realizing the Politburo’s Directive 03 on further promoting “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” in the last tenure, the Party Committee of the ward won many encouraging achievements, including first prizes of the writing contests on late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals in 2012 and 2013 organized by the city’s Propaganda and Education Commission, the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee for its good performance in “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” between 2011 and 2013. The result was the success of the will of the Party and heart of the people, contributing to building up the local solid political system.

Making premise for new tenure

The Party Committee of the ward in the last tenure also strived to overcome difficulties and fulfilled 18 out of 22 main targets. The local economic structure was shifted towards trade-services, home industry and agriculture. The local State budget collection always gained and exceeded the set targets. The lives of the local people were constantly improved with the annual average income per capita of VND40mln. The local urban infrastructure and traffic system were also upgraded…

Besides, the ward paid more attention to “paying debt of gratitude” activities; reached positive results in corruption, wastefulness prevention and thrift practice; attached special importance to law dissemination among people from all strata. The ward fulfilled its target on escaping poverty under the province’s new poverty line between 2008 and 2010. As of late 2014, the ward only existed 27 poor households or 0.77% of total population.

Tran Minh Trung, Secretary of the ward’s Party Committee said that thanks to the spirit of solidarity and unanimity of the entire Party and people, the ward’s Party Committee successfully instructed the implementation of the set targets. Noticeably, there were new development steps in economic aspect and the lives of the local people were improved considerably. The ward also focused on upgrading infrastructure, basically fulfilled the local targets on health and education, paid attention to activities caring for policy beneficiaries and the poor, maintained the local social order and security, repelled social evils, strengthened the local political system, step by step improved the quality of Party members. There were strong changes in awareness and action of cardes, Party members and locals through “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”.

“The above achievements will be the premise for the ward’s Party Committee and people to further fly in the process of the local construction and development in the following years”, Mr.Trung said.
