This was the common assessment of delegates at a meeting of the province’s socio-cultural bloc organized by provincial People’s Committee on the afternoon of March 6.

Under the common assessment, the province’s socio-cultural fields reaped good results. The quality of the local education and training was improved in all levels. The province also boosted public healthcare with 6.46 million people under medical examination and treatment or 110% of the projection.

In addition, the province’s functional agencies took initiative in taking measures against epidemic diseases in a synchronous way with high efficiency. The province also gained results in terms of labor, war invalids, social affairs and vocational training. Particularly, the province well realized policies on allowance, health insurance; visited, donated gifts and gratitude houses with a total expense of more than VND12bln, up VND4.8bln compared to 2012; organized 28 job transaction sessions with the participation of 1,180 enterprises and 37,800 laborers…

The province’s cultural-sports and tourism sector also focused on propaganda work and well organized cultural-sports activities; strengthen inspection over propaganda activities across the province.

At the meeting, leaders of provincial socio-cultural sector and the People’s Committees of districts, towns and TDM city raised the sector’s shortcomings in 2013 and contributed ideas to the implementation of the sector’s plan in 2014.
