Provincial chairman receives Italian Consul General

On April 20, Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee paid a reception to Mrs. Carlotta Colli, the Italian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the reception, Mrs. Carlotta Colli briefed the local leaders on cooperation between Italy and Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular as well as orientations and cooperation plans in the coming time. Mrs. Carlotta Colli added that Binh Duong possesses a good investment environment, so Consulate General of the Republic of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City will spur further cooperation ties between Italy and Binh Duong.

Aside from cooperation of economic development, Mrs. Carlotta Colli hoped that Italia would work with the locality on fields of culture and education. Mrs. Carlotta Colli believed that cooperation between Italy and Binh Duong would reap results on the local leaders’ upcoming visit to Italy.

Tran Van Nam applauded Mrs. Carlotta Colli and the delegation for their investment cooperation visit to Binh Duong as well as highly appreciated cooperation between Italy and Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular.

Tran Van Nam added that Italy now has 7 investment projects in Binh Duong with the total capital of about US$56mn. The figure has yet to match cooperation potential of the two sides. In the coming time, Binh Duong hopes Italian enterprises to keep investing in Binh Duong, especially on high value and hi-tech areas.
