From grassroots level

In Thuan An town, the model of “self-management group on environmental protection” has actively upheld its effectiveness in the task of propagandizing and educating the local people about environmental protection via such practical activities as making environmental hygiene in residential estates, clearing canals…  

TDM city’s movement of mobilizing all people to ensure traffic safety has been effectively brought into play.  

Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwoman of Thuan An town’s FFC said that the local FFC has so far set up more than 70 self-management groups on environmental protection with more than 5,000 members under executive boards and more than 32,000 households registering for participation. Many groups have mobilized all expenditure from the local people for making pavements, equipping wastebaskets, growing green trees; made dissemination of information about laws regarding environment protection among the local people through animated competitions…

According to Tran Thi Son, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial FFC, provincial FFCs at all levels have diversified activities of gathering the local people, intensified and upheld the strength of national great unity by many campaigns, namely “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural life in residential areas”, “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”, “Towards the nation’s borders and islands”, “Day for the Poor”, “Paying debt of gratitude”…Many new models have also been discovered from the above campaigns.

Propaganda implemented to each household

In the first half of the year, provincial FFCs at all levels coordinated with their membership organizations together with the local functional agencies to speed up law dissemination and mobilize people from all strata to take part in preventing crimes, drugs, prostitution, HIV/AIDS and many other social evils.

Mrs.Son said that through propaganda work, the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural life in residential areas” greatly contributed to improving the spiritual and material lives of people in the rural region and implementing criteria of the national target program on new construction program in communes, especially in pilot ones, including Thuan An town’s An Son, Ben Cat district’s Chanh Phu Hoa, Tan Uyen district’s Bach Dach, Dau Tieng district’s Thanh An and Phu Giao district’s Tan Long.  Provincial FFCs at all levels also well executed the emulation movement of “The whole province joining hands to build up new rural areas”…

In the remaining six months of the year, provincial FFCs at all levels will further promote the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural life in residential areas” in association with criteria of building new rural areas, civilized and modern urban areas; mobilize people from all strata to actively take part in anti-crime movements…, according to provincial FFC Chairman Pham Van Canh.
