Provincial Women’s Union diversifies propaganda activities on traffic safety

Provincial Women’s Union has instructed its branches to organize many propaganda activities to raise officials and members’ awareness of traffic safety, especially in terms of inland waterway safety, thereby mobilizing their relatives to well realize regulations on safe traffic.

Over the past time, provincial Women’s Union and its branches implemented a lot of propaganda activities in association with criteria “Not violate the law and social evils” of the “Family with 5-Nos and 3-Cleans” campaign. In the period of 2016-2018, they carried out a plan on propaganda and mobilization for 101 households not wearing helmets and violating regulations on traffic safety…

Provincial Women’s Union also coordinated with provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize 3 training courses against drowning in children in Thuan An, Ben Cat towns and Bau Bang district with the participation of 430 officials and members. The Women’s Union branches of districts, towns and TDM city were proactive to team up with the local Divisions of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Divisions of Culture and Information, Youth Union branches to organize 27 free swimming classes for 730 pupils.

Besides, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels frequently joined hands with provincial Traffic Safety Committees at all levels to hold training courses on propaganda and mobilization of women to carry out traffic safety, disseminate the Decree No.46/2016/ND-CP…Upon this, many propaganda programs on traffic safety were implemented across the province.

Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels also diversified propaganda activities on waterway traffic culture, thereby promoting the campaign of “Traffic culture with peaceful waterways”. In addition, they have continued maintaining 23 clubs “Women with traffic safety” with 465 members, 2 self-management clubs on traffic safety and urban order with 60 members.

Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwoman of provincial Women’s Union said that provincial Women’s Union will coordinate with provincial Traffic Safety Committees, sectors and mass organizations at all levels to disseminate regulations on traffic safety in general and on waterway safety in particular among people from all strata, especially members and their families.
