Being proud when the locality is upgraded to a city under the province, but the Party Committee, authorities and people of Tan Uyen city still do not forget difficulties overcome by them and many challenges are ahead. However, with diligence and precious tradition of a heroic land, the local Party, government and people will unite to build up a more and more prosperous Tan Uyen city towards civilization, modernity and sentimental attachment

Rising from a district with a low starting point and having to go through many divisions, the Party, government and people of Tan Uyen city must strive constantly to get results today. As of now, Tan Uyen has met all standards and criteria of a city under the province and has become one of the province’s five important satellite cities.

Looking at the economic structure of Tan Uyen city, it is easy to see that industrial manufacture and urban areas have rapid development, helping Tan Uyen being eligible to become a city. The city’s average economic growth over the past time reached about 12.5%/year. Currently, the city is home to many industrial park projects with the scale and quality that are superior to other localities in the province. The city’s transportation system is built synchronously, connecting with other localities in the province and the region. The city’s industrial manufacture has developed, leading to urban development. So far, the city has built 55 residential areas, including 25 with 80%-100% of technical infrastructure completed, along with the average housing floor area of 26.55m2/person, which has shown the local urban rebound.

With economic development, the material life and spiritual culture of the local people have also been gradually improved. Not only focusing on economic development, the Party Committee and government of Tan Uyen city have also paid attention to investing in building infrastructure and institutions at the people's demand for cultural enjoyment. The city’s schools and medical stations are built with standards to meet the learning needs of children and to care for and provide medical treatment for the people. The national grid system follows routes that spread to residential areas to serve production and daily life. The local government and mass organizations have paid more attention to social welfare so that "no one is left behind" in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister. The local security, order and social safety have been enhanced so that people can live and do business with peace of mind.

Along with the local unanimity, the above achievement is also the diligence of the people, the creativity of the business community and especially the continuation of the tradition of a heroic land. Tan Uyen has gone through many separations, but leaders of the city over periods have always united to build a more and more prosperous locality. The people of Tan Uyen are industrious and hardworking in production and construction. Many good models of new-style rural construction also come from this land. This place used to be a war zone during the war and the people wholeheartedly followed the Party to fight the enemy to save the country. That precious tradition has been upheld by the people, thereby creating a rebound to fly further on the development way.
