Scientific conference "Covid-19 prevention control, socio-economic recovery from the reality of Binh Duong province and the Southern region” shares experience, good practices in realizing the dual goal

To share experience and good practices in ensuring effective epidemic prevention control while maintaining socio-economic development, successfully realizing the dual goal in the new normal condition, Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee coordinated with Ho Chi Minh National Institute of Politics will organize a scientific conference "Covid-19 prevention control, socio-economic recovery from the reality of Binh Duong province and the Southern region". The Organization Board has received 130 presentations from experts, scientists, researchers, departments, and localities inside and outside the province.

7 basic content groups

Scientific conference "Covid-19 prevention control, socio-economic recovery from the reality of Binh Duong province and the Southern region" be slated for October 18. The content will comprise of the prevention and control of the Covid-19 and socio-economic recovery after the pandemic.

According to the organizers, as of October 5, they received 130 presentations from experts, scientists, researchers, departments and localities inside and outside the province.  Out of a total of 130 papers, there are 82 articles concerning pandemic prevention control and 48 articles on socio-economic recovery. The presentations focused on 7 basic content groups, including: Leadership and direction in the prevention and control of the Covid-19; information and communication about the Covid-19 prevention control; medical strategies in the Covid-19 prevention control; administrative and security measures to ensure social order and safety in the Covid-19 context; economic recovery measures after the impact of the pandemic; social security solutions in the Covid-19 context; mobilize the synergy between political system and community in the Covid-19 prevention control.

Stressing the requirements and purposes of the conference, Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Propagation and Education Committee, a member of the Organization Board, said that this workshop will focus on analyzing achievements and shortcomings in disease prevention control and socio-economic recovery from the practice of Binh Duong province and the Southern region; point out objective and subjective causes in the implementation process, recommendations and proposals on specific and feasible guidelines and policies; lessons learned, good models in pandemic prevention control, and solutions to socio-economic recovery.

Results of this conference will be a scientific foundation for localities in the Southern region to develop and implement specific plans and scenarios to be closer to the actual situation, gain high feasibility to overcome negative effects of the pandemic at the earliest possible time, to step by step transition to the "new normalcy" and resume, develop the economy and society. This is also an opportunity for units in Binh Duong and other provinces, cities in the Southern region to share experience and good practices in both ensuring effective disease prevention control and maintaining socio-economic growth to achieve the dual goal in the new normal situation.

Ready for the conference

According to the Organization Board, the conference is expected to welcome about 700 participants, including guests, provincial and district delegates. Specifically, the invited guests include officials from Central committees, ministries and branches; leaders of the southern regions, Ho Chi Minh National Institute of Politics, and delegates that will give presentations at the conference.

To prepare carefully for the conference, the Organization Board actively developed detailed plans for three specialized teams according to the general schedule of the conference. Specialized teams include Content team, Communication team, and Management - Logistics team. In addition to detailed plans, the Organization Board also assigned particular tasks to each team member. In the task implementation process, teams coordinate synchronously, guarantee logical performance, avoid overlapping tasks among teams and members. In case of problems, the teams shall promptly report to the Organization Board for settlement in order to ensure the purposes and requirements.

Evaluating the preparations for the conference, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said: “Up to this moment, all preparations for the conference are done, guarantee on-schedule progress and economical, practical and efficient manner. Previously, the Organization Board asked organizations and individuals having tasks assigned to uphold sense of responsibility, carefully perform each job in order for the conference to achieve the best results, create good impressions of Binh Duong land and people”.
