Scientific workshop on “Provinces and cities in the Southeastern region with the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No.24

On the afternoon of October 18, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Binh Phuoc provincial Party Committee jointly organized a scientific workshop on "Provinces and cities in the Southeastern region with the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW on socio-economic development and assurance of national defense and security until 2030, vision to 2050.

The workshop was chaired by comrades, namely Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Phuoc provincial Party Committee; Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Assoc.Prof-Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Director of the Academy of Politics Region II. At the workshop, scientists and leaders of provinces and cities in the region delivered speeches and discussed many related issues, including some issues in implementing the Resolution No.24 of the Politburo; sustainable development of the Southeastern region in the spirit of Resolution No.24; challenges posed in sustainable development of the Southeastern region in the spirit of Resolution No.24; rapid and sustainable development so that the Southeastern region becomes a civilized, modern and internationally integrated region; orientation for circular economic development in the Southeastern region; Party and political system building of provinces and cities in the Southeastern region in the spirit of the Politburo’s Resolution No.24...

Participating in the discussion at the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Viet Long, Director of Binh Duong provincial Department of Science and Technology, member of the Central Theoretical Council emphasized the importance of the Politburo’s Resolution No.24 and the Government’s Resolution No. 154/NQ-CP on promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement the Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW. These are very timely resolutions, orienting Binh Duong's development in the coming period so that the province can overcome traditional production towards a smart city, implementing digital transformation,and get ahead of the industrial revolution 4.0...

At the workshop, Binh Duong province delivered a speech on "provincial socio-economic development and assurance of national defense and security in the spirit of the Politburo’s Resolution No.24". The speech emphasized: “After more than 25 years of re-establishment and development, from a locality with main agricultural economy, Binh Duong has gradually transformed itself into a dynamically developing locality. Along with Ho Chi Minh city and Dong Nai province, Binh Duong has become the industrial capital of the Southeastern region and the modern industrial and urban hub of the Southern key economic region…”.
