Significant activities amid Covid-19

The Women’s Union of Lai Thieu ward in Thuan An city has just organized a competition “Sweetness of love” 2020, with the participation of officials and members of the local Women’s Union branches.

The event aimed to educate the local women about Vietnam’s traditional values, cultural beauty. On this occasion, the ward’s Women’s Union also offered 100 fabric masks, 100 “Lifebuoy” bars of soap to officials, members and guided them how to wash their hands properly and delivered 100 propaganda leaflets on Covid-19 epidemic to them.

*The Women’s Union of An Phu ward in Thuan An town held a program calling for all people to join hands to purchase watermelon from farmers amid Covid-19.

Upholding the spirit of “The good leaf covers the bad one”, the ward’s Women’s Union and donors bought 16 tons of watermelon from farmers in the central Highlands province of Dak Lak with the price of VND7,000 per kg.

Prior to that, the ward’s Women’s Union also offered more than 5,000 medical masks and more than 1,000 propaganda leaflets on Covid-19 to locals, contributing to preventing the deadly epidemic.
