Social Policy Bank Phu Giao district branch grants preferential loans to 1,879 households

In the first 6 months of 2019, Phu Giao district Transaction Office of Social Policy Bank granted loans with preferential interest rate to 1,879, total number of households with outstanding loans at this branch is 10,368.

In particular, Social Policy Bank Phu Giao district branch mainly disbursed loans of programs: Supporting job creation, retaining and expansion of employment for 465 laborers; rural clean water and environmental hygiene with 1,199 households borrowing loans to upgrade and repair clean water and sanitation works which had deteriorated; 122 poor households and near-poor households got loans for production and business; 37 households lately escaping from poverty borrowed loans for business development; 55 students got loans to cover tuition fee, and 1 household borrowed social housing loan.

Basically, this capital source partly met the demands of poor households and policy beneficiaries in the area, helping borrowers invest in production and business, to create new jobs, and renovate, upgrade clean water and toilet facilities to improve the life quality.
