Social policy credit increases by 52 times over 20 years

Vo Van Duc, Director of the Provincial Bank for Social Policies, said that over the past 20 years, in addition to the balanced capital from the Central government, the province mobilized local financial resources to better meet credit demand of the poor and policy beneficiaries.

Up to now, total capital has reached nearly VND 4,555 billion, an increase of VND 4,468 billion, 52 times higher than 2003. In which, capital allocated from the Central accounted for 48.2% of the total capital, the entrusted capital for investment in localities accounted for 40.4%, and mobilized capital accounted for 11.4%. Over the past 20 years, the steady growth of loan capital in the province has shown the attention and drastic efforts of Party committees and local authorities in the implementation of social policy credit programs.
