Social sponsorial work under socialization

Orphans enjoy care at Thien Tam Vien Duc sponsorial center in Tan Uyen town.

Over the past years, Binh Duong province-based social sponsorial work has been constantly paid attention by functional agencies and people. Contribution of private social sponsorial facilities has helped to reduce burden for the local administration and spur socialization of social sponsorial work in the locality.

Common houses

Huong Duong social sponsorial center for orphans in Ben Cat town now takes care of 85 disable kids and orphans. In order to help unlucky children integrate into the community, the center sponsors 54 children’s college study and 31’s high school study, 15 of whom are sponsored to study in Japan. Good teachers and excellent academic achievements of students help improve prestige of the center, so many parents send their children to the center for university exam review. Tuition from the exam review work is for taking care of unlucky kids in the center.

Poor and lonely circumstance are common situation of more than 133 old people, children and disabled people living in Tu tam nhan ai center in North Tan Uyen district. Le Thi Em, 72, in Thuan An town said “My family is very poor. My children and grandchildren are also very needy, so I work here to earn for a living. There are many people with my similar circumstance, so I don’t feel sad. In addition, I enjoy free health check-up and treatment, my health is very good”.

Ngoc Quy sponsorial center in Thu Dau Mot city founced since 2012 has taken care of orphans and old and lonely people and more. In the past, the center was a hotel with the investment capital of more than VND12bn. Afterwards, couple Nguyen Van Suc and Do Thi Quy shifted it into sponsorial center for unlucky people. Until now, the center takes care of more than 28 unlucky people. Suc revealed “I and my wife establish this center to help unlucky people because we learn well about difficult circumstance of the unlucky. Actually, I am an orphan. Therefore, we desire to bring joy and happiness for the umlucky”.

Many difficulties

Private sponsorial centers are established on love, sympathy for the unlucky. However, network of social sponsorial centers have still faced numerous obstacles in material facilities, medical equipment and more.

Nguyen Minh Man, director of Tu tam nhan ai sponsorial center said that this center annually receives many unlucky people, so expenses to take care of them become a big problem. Therefore, the center desires to enjoy local authorities, organizations and individuals’ care and assistance to share difficulties with the unlucky.

Aside from shortage of material facilities, social sponsorial centers face difficulties in procedures of taking care of the unlucky. Nun Thich nu Lien Dieu, director of Thien Tam Vien Duc social sponsorial center in Tan Uyen town said that the center remains shortcomings in managing information on the unlucky. The center wishes to enjoy instruction from local authorities to complete procedures of taking care of the unlucky.

Up to now, the entire province now has 13 sponsorial centers, 1 of which is under the State and the remaining ones under private organizations. The number of the beneficiaries of these centers is at 921.

In order to improve operation of social sponsorial centers in the province, the provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held training courses on taking care of the unlucky for these centers.

Moreover, the provincial Committee for Culture and Society just made a survey to these social sponsorial facilities to assess their operation.

Apart from implementing the central regulations of taking care of social sponsorial subjects, Binh Duong issues policies to help local beneficiaries. However, most of the beneficiaries are aliens, so functional agencies should mull over to help them enjoy allowances and integrate into the community.
