The provincial Fatherland Front Committee last week held the first consultation conference to negotiate the structure, composition and the number of NA deputies of the 13th NA and provincial People’s Council deputies of 8th term. The conference participants focused on standards on morality for candidates.
The number of NA deputies is allocated for the provinces at 8, 3 of whom are nominated by the central. The number of NA deputies increases 3 compared to the 2006-2011 term.

At the conference, participants introduced 18 candidates for the 13th NA, 2011-2016 term. Aside from ensuring factors of re-election, female deputies, young deputies, non-Party member deputies, participants considered composition of leadership position and representative for trade unions and businesses.
The first consultation conference agreed on structure of NA deputies. Accordingly, allocation of the 13th NA deputies in Binh Duong is for units of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, local Mass Mobilization Commission, local general hospital, Youth Union, Thu Dau Mot University, departments of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Binh Duong Building Material and Building Company, Dong An IP II, local Garment and Textile Society and Vu Kieu Real Estate Company.
Addressing the conference, a rep of the provincial Veterans Society proposed selecting reps of typical businesses involving in social activities… Reps of the provincial Women Union and Volunteer Youth Society asked to introduce female candidates to the NA. Huynh Thi Kim Oanh from the provincial Society for poor patients and orphans asked to select typical candidates equally.
The number of the provincial 13th NA deputies will be at 63. At the conference, participants agreed to introduce 115 candidates. The number will be decreased to 93 at the final conference.
The structure introducing for the provincial Party agencies is at 6 candidates, the State management bloc at 34, Front bloc 1, social, political bodies 37, economic body 23, armed force 3, district-level administration units 11, self-nomination 2.
Participants asked that introduction of candidates must ensure stipulated standards and candidates must have high responsibility and qualification.
