Strong sanctions against disguised, overpriced services during the festive season

PPC has issued express Official Letter No. 530/UBND-VX dated 25^th Feb in terms of “Handling subjects of vagrants, beggars, divination at festival points in the province”.

Accordingly, Chairmen of districts, towns, city have directed related forces to inspect, classify, collect subjects of vagrants, beggars, divination, hawkers at festival points, such as: Thien Hau Lady Pagoda, Chau Thoi Pagoda, Ong Pagoda, Hoi An Pagoda…

On the other hand, the authorities have strengthened inspection of fees of parking lots and sanctioned strictly violations. Besides, PPC assigned Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs to increase inspection of vagrants, beggars management, and sent them to Social Welfare Center. In addition, the Document also assigned provincial Public Security’s Chief to allocate police forces in order to ensure social security and order at crowded areas, destinations, festival points.
