Thu Dau Mot should implement key works rapidly

To assess situation before, during and after Tet holiday 2015 as well as carry out some key tasks for 2015, the provincial People’s Committee delegation led by Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee on Feb. 26 paid a working visit to leaders of Thu Dau Mot city.

A thorough preparation for Tet

Reportedly, implementing market stability plan for the past Tet holiday 2015, local goods market for Tet holiday was very plentiful. Purchasing power at markets and supermarkets did not increase from the ordinary days and there was no price hike. In addition, price of commodities were listed clearly.

Owing to well preparation of goods for the last Tet holiday, price of commodities was stabilized. In addition, inter-sectoral inspection delegations inspected 549 cases and solved 31 violation cases, timely prevented fake and poor quality products.

Thu Dau Mot city leaders said that the municipal work on traffic order and environmental protection is an important task for the local party committee, administration and people. Accordingly, before, during and after Tet holiday, the work on traffic order and urban hygiene was prepared well. Meanwhile, the work on road repair was also implemented timely. The city administration improved and upgraded more than 22,000sqm of asphalted road surface, upgraded Le Van Tach road and so on.

Moreover, in order to beautify central area, Thu Dau Mot city administration mobilized agencies, units, People’s Committee of wards, armed forces and enterprises and local residents to keep hygiene at workplace, roads and residential areas. Before Tet, Thu Dau Mot city also focused on taking care of green trees, park and more in service for Ram Thang Gieng holiday. Public lighting system in the city also ensured safety and transport for local residents.

Besides, carrying out instruction of the provincial People’s Committee and the city party committee, Thu Dau Mot city administration prepared and seriously implemented the 85^th founding anniversary of Vietnam Communist Party and activities of welcoming the Lunar New Year 2015.

Rapid implementation of key works

Tran Van Loi, secretary of Thu Dau Mot city party committee said that order and security in the city was ensured during Tet holiday. The city administration well solved policies for contributors while enterprises and donors granted hundreds of gifts to local poor people. In addition, local companies voluntarily decorated and make flower streets to beautify streets on the past Tet holiday.

After hearing about reports on situation of the last Tet as well as orientations and tasks for 2015, Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee said that he believed in results of the city. In this year, Thu Dau Mot city had a well preparation during the past Tet holiday.

Tran Van Nam added that Thu Dau Mot city should well implement tasks of 2015, prepare thoroughly for the coming party congress. This year, Thu Dau Mot city becomes the second class urban area, so assessment of goals and databases ensures well service for the following terms.

He also suggested that Thu Dau Mot city should rapidly implement key works in this city and ensure completion of projects in time.
