According to the Provincial Department of Planning and Investment, accumulated to May 31st 2022, the province has 4,049 FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$39.5 billion. Binh Duong is currently ranked second in the country in terms of FDI attraction, after Ho Chi Minh City. Among the 65 countries and territories pouring FDI capital in Binh Duong, Taiwan is leading the way with 859 projects and a total investment of US$6.3 billion, accounting for 19% of the province's total FDI.
According to statistics, nearly one-third of Taiwanese enterprises in Vietnam choose Binh Duong as a place for production, mainly in fields of processing, manufacturing of furniture, iron and steel, electronic components and household items. The Taiwan Merchants Association in Binh Duong now has more than 650 members, making it the largest Taiwanese business association in the world. Although the Covid-19 pandemic is still complicated, businesses are very confident in the development prospects of Binh Duong. Most Taiwanese enterprises in Binh Duong are well complying with the law, operating effectively, are innovating the IT application, and use modern, environmentally friendly technologies and machinery.
