Thanh Phuoc is one of nine communes along the Dong Nai River. In the last tenure, the local economy made positive changes under the growth trend of industry, services and agriculture. Thanh Phuoc commune is now home to 75 production-business establishments, creating stable income for nearly 2,000 laborers in and out of the locality. The service sector in Thanh Phuoc commune has made much new progress
Agricultural production accounts for 23% of the commune’s economic structure. Therefore, the commune over time organized classes on agricultural promotion, seminars and models on agricultural production for the local farmers. It also effectively implemented the projects of fields with hi-economic value, cooperative groups and clubs on agricultural production.
In terms of socio-cultural aspects, An Thanh commune paid attention to poverty alleviation and employment creation. The whole commune now exists 6 poor households, accounting for 0.55% of total. Some 570 laborers herein were also offered jobs at firms. The commune’s health station joined hands with relevant agencies to provide free medical check-ups and medicine for the poor. Such these apart, the commune mobilized individuals and organizations to build 15 gratitude, unity and charity houses.
In the new tenure, An Phuoc commune’s Party Committee will further maintain an economic structure towards the growth of industrial production and services; modernize agriculture and rural development and make crop restructuring; strive to reach the average income per capita of VND22mln per year…, according to Luu Huu Duyen, Secretary of the communal Party Commmittee.
The communal Party Committee will also strive to obtain a 25%-30% growth of industrial production and trade-service value; create favorable conditions for businesses to boost their operations; make planning and development for the industrial-trade field, step by step promoting the evolution of this field in line with the local real situation.
