Thu Dau Mot 21st Century Project should be boosted up, urged Deputy Chairman

Early September 7, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem had a meeting with Thu Dau Mot City People’s Committee and sectors on progress of the 21st Century Project in Phu Cuong Ward.As reported, the Thu Dau Mot 21st Century Project was invested by Tan Vu Minh Co. Ltd. which was approved with site clearance and compensation plan by Provincial People’s Committee on January 22, 2008 over the area of 24.83 hectares; however, the progress was so slow. Up to date, only 133 out of 517 households have been removed from the area while infraconstruction has reached 20% of total planning. Currently, the investor is able to compensate for 169 households at the cost of VND 146.4 billion. Of the compensated households, 85 ones have registered for resettlement floors. The remaing 84 households are under procedures for receiving resettlement floors. Under the plan of Department of Construction, owners of those households shall be supported to buy new low-income households.Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem confirmed that local authority is considering measures proposed by Thu Dau Mot City People’s Committee to boost up the project so that new appartment floors shall be allocated to the households at the soonest.
