Thu Dau Mot is an economic and administrative center of Binh Duong province. Thu Dau Mot is located in the southern key economic region and Ho Chi Minh City area, has a special location on outbound center line with the Ho Chi Minh - Thu Dau Mot- Chon Thanh Highway; is an independent satellite urban area of ​​the regional nuclear zone, includes the following functions: hi-tech zone, high-tech clean industrial area; National and international tourist routes and attractions; regional training center; National and regional service center in the growth triangle of Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Vung Tau City as a driving force in the north of the region.
