Nguyen Thanh Tai, chairman of TDM town People’s Committee assessed that urban building and development has showed positive changes. A common planning on TDM urban building, planning on 12 wards and communes’ functional areas and land planning till 2020 have been completed basically. Some important traffic works of Nguyen Chi Thanh, Nguyen Tri Phuong, April 30 roads and communal level works have facilitated local socio-economic development. However, the town remains shortcomings of the quality of service, asynchornousness on socio-technical infrastructure, shortage of urban architecture management regulations…

To help TDM urban area reach criteria of a 1st class urban area and become a provincial city by 2015, Tai added that from now on TDM town must mobilize all sources for building and development to focus on urban rejuvenation in the trend of a modern and civilized urban area, making a premise for a future Binh Duong city.

Besides, local economic development in attachment to sustainable factors is needed to spur service growth with a high quality. Especially, manpower development is considered as key task for local socio-economic growth.

Many respects…

Many local key officials set out measures for TDM urban development with detailed planning for traffic, water supply, power and lighting systems and so on.

Ho Huu Minh, vice head of the town economic division, said aside from investing in key works of entrance way to the provincial administration center and Bach Dang road, 100% of upgrade and expanded routes and 100 lighting routes and at least 5 parking lots just meet demands in the future.

There were many respects for TDM urban development set out by deputies. Still, many said that residents’ awareness and responsibility will go hand in hand with concretized instructions and policies of the Party and State.
