Thuan An town’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) and its member organizations have effectively realized the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban, new rural areas”.

Effective models

Nguyen Ngoc Phuong, Chairwoman of Thuan An town’s FFC said that the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban, new rural areas” has been promoted among people from strata. The FFCs of communes and wards in the town have attached special importance to launching movements, contests, namely “green-clean-nice quarter, hamlet”, “model street”, “quarter without waste”…

The town’s FFCS at all levels and their member organizations have also responded to the movement of “All people take part in environmental protection”. Self-management groups on environmental protection of hamlets and quarters in the town have regularly disseminated the Law on Environmental Protection; collected and treated waste, eradicated illegal advertising boards…, absorbing thousands of people. Many models, namely “Self-management group on traffic safety”, “Quarter without waste”…have also implemented effectively. Since 2015, the town has set up and maintained 3 quarters without waste in An Phu, Lai Thieu and Binh Quoi wards; developed 4 self-management groups on environmental protection. Currently, the whole town has a total of nearly 980 self-management groups on environmental protection with more than 5,550 members and 34,000 participating families.

The movement of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle” has also been promoted across the town. Last year, the whole town had a total of 36,380 cultural families or nearly 96% of total; nearly 5,130 lodging facilities recognized as cultural ones or 88.56% of total.

Role-models

Binh Chuan ward is one of the town’s role-models in the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban, new rural areas”.

Do Huynh Thuong, Chairwoman of Binh Chuan ward’s FFC said: “To effectively realize the campaign, the local FFC has concretized many activities such as setting up the model of “quarter without waste” in Binh Quoi quarter B; the “self-management group on environmental protection” model in groups 15, 16, 17 in Binh Phu quarter; organizing a contest on “green-clean-nice” streets…, raising public awareness of environmental protection.

Thanks to propaganda work well realized, the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban, new rural areas” has received response from people, said Nguyen Thi Xi, Head of Binh Phu quarter’s Board of Fatherland Front Work in Binh Chuan ward. As a result, the whole quarter last year had more than 1,240 households getting the “cultural family” title or nearly 97% of total. Binh Phu was also organized as a cultural quarter for many consecutive years.

An Son commune has also well realized the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban, new rural areas”. Ho Quang Phuc, Chairman of the commune’s FFC said that: “Over the past time, the commune’s FFC continued mobilizing people to respond to policies, targets, tasks on socio-economic development, maintained national defence-security, improved the quality of 19 criteria of a new rural commune. The commune’s FFC also strengthened the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban, new rural areas”; took care of social policy beneficiaries…Upon the above things, the whole commune last year had nearly 1,860 households winning the “cultural family” title or more than 97% of total. The town also honored more than 50 outstanding cultural households…”.

With measures to enhance the quality of propaganda, boost patriotic emulation movements in association with the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban, new rural areas”, the town’s Fatherland Front system has upheld the strength of the great national unity bloc in civilized urban lifestyle construction, contributing to helping the town soon fulfill the goal of becoming a second-class city in the coming time.
