Tan Uyen has a central location connecting with Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An City, Di An City, Ben Cat Town and Bau Bang, North Tan Uyen, Phu Giao districts. According to the provincial urban development orientation, in the period 2020-2025, Tan Uyen Town continues to be an urban area of industry - service - agriculture in order to promote good results in the past.

In order to develop industry sustainably, in recent years, Tan Uyen town has focused on attracting investment selectively, in accordance with the local planning and urban development orientation; giving priority to high-tech and environmentally friendly projects. Up to now, industrial zones and clusters in Tan Uyen town have been well invested, attracting many domestic and foreign investment projects, creating a modern and vibrant urban industrial space. Besides, Tan Uyen Town focuses on developing high-quality service industries with high levels of knowledge, technology and added value combined with industrial - urban growth in the direction of civilization and modernization. To prepare for the development path, Tan Uyen Town has planned, formed an urban development framework for management. Becoming a class-3 city, Tan Uyen town has put on a new shirt color with modern and spacious projects. In order to create a driving force for economic growth and serve people's lives, the town has focused on a complete transport system. Up to now, a series of projects have been carried out, such as DT746 road (from Tan Phuoc Khanh bridge to Cay Queo slope); DT746 extended road (the section from Cay Queo slope to adjacent Thu Bien street - Cong Xanh); to upgrade and expand DT747B road (from intersection of Bung Cu temple to the border with DT747A); to upgrade road from Muoi Muon junction to Tan Loi bridge; to renovate pavement of DH420 road (the section from Ong Tu intersection to Cay Queo slope junction); embankment construction works to prevent landslide of Dong Nai river...

According to Huynh Van Loi, Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Tan Uyen Town, in urban development planning and infrastructure construction investment, Tan Uyen town called on resources from economic sectors to continue investing in the development of socio-economic infrastructure, especially motivational works to facilitate development and improvement of people's lives. In recent years, the implementation of planning and investment in the construction of new urban areas, residential areas, synchronous technical infrastructure system has created a spacious appearance for the town. The townspeople have actively supported the construction of civilized streets, thereby bringing convenience to the people.

Currently, Tan Uyen town is doing the planning; enhanced construction and development, continues to implement urban renovation; improves management capacity and efficiency; encourages and propagates the building of a civilized lifestyle in the town, proactively advise and apply a number of provincial mechanisms and policies to support the town, and mobilize resources to continue investing in an increasingly civilized, modern urban area.

At the 12th Party Congress of Tan Uyen Town, term 2020-2025, the town's Party Committee appreciated the growth and initial accomplishments of local urban development in recent years. Thereby, the town built up a breakthrough program on the construction of Tan Uyen town to reach class-2 urban areas by 2025 integrated with green models. In the coming time, Tan Uyen Town will invest in key traffic projects in the East - West direction to connect traffic with western and northwest wards of the town to develop new urban areas. In addition, Tan Uyen town continues to upgrade and expand a number of domestic traffic routes to connect new urban areas with existing urban areas; to focus on new investment in a number of traffic works according to planning, creating a new driving force to attract social resources into urban development, services and commerce; to step by step formulate and develop riverside urban spaces, ensure connectivity between localities.

Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen Town People's Committee, said the general view of the town is that economic growth must go hand in hand with social development and environmental protection, creating a foundation for sustainable development. The town has attracted selectively investment projects, given priority to high-tech, environmentally friendly projects and high-tech agricultural development combined with ecotourism in Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi islets. Tan Uyen town will set up and implement a number of projects to protect the environment, build parks, install free Wifi network in public areas, apply information technology to create beautiful urban appearance and improve the quality of people's lives.
