To urgently prevent COVID-19 from coming back

On April 14, Binh Duong provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control issued an urgent dispatch on strengthening the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic. According to the provincial Steering Committee, currently the World Health Organization still considers the COVID-19 epidemic as an international public health emergency. In particular, the COVID-19 epidemic in the country tends to increase and in Binh Duong, 8 cases of infection have been recorded since the beginning of the year. In order not to let the epidemic re-emerge, the provincial Steering Committee asked districts, towns, cities, Centers for Disease Control and medical examination and treatment facilities to well implement 6 epidemic prevention contents.

In these 6 key contents, the provincial Steering Committee emphasized the vaccination against COVID-19 for people, especially for high-risk groups. Along with the task of vaccination, surveillance and monitoring of the epidemic situation should be promoted at educational institutions, medical facilities, immigrants and in the community. The units work closely with the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh city to early collect samples and detect new variants of the SARS-CoV-2. Localities continue to assess the level of the epidemic, medical examination and treatment establishments ready to plan for collection and treatment.
