Chol Chnam Thmay Tet gifts given to needy Khmer people

On April 14, Binh Duong Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, Orphans and Poor Patients organized a delegation to visit and give Chol Chnam Thmay Tet gifts to Khmer ethnic people living in difficult circumstances in Phu Giao district.

Accordingly, the Association presented 100 gifts, each gift worth 800,000 VND (of which 500 thousand VND in cash and necessities worth 300,000 VND).

Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Chairwoman of Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, Orphans and Poor Patients, and members of the delegation presented flower baskets and extended Chol Chnam Thmay Tet greetings to Tong Kim Quang pagoda in An Binh commune. In recent years, the work of taking care of the people, including the Khmer ethnic group, has been well done by the Association. The association has mobilized resources to help poor and disadvantaged families to fully enjoy the joyful and warm annual Chol Chnam Thmay Festival.

* On this occasion, Standing Board of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented gifts and extended best wishes to the Abbot of Tong Kim Quang Pagoda on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay Festival; at the same time gave cash to 7 Khmer families having extremely difficult circumstances. Each family received financial support of 1.2 million VND/month.

*On the same day, leaders of Phu Giao district visited, gave gifts, and sent Chol Chnam Thmay Tet wishes to Tong Kim Quang pagoda, An Binh commune.
