Trade Union with activities “touching the heart”

Over the past time, Binh Duong province’s Trade Union activities were highly appreciated in terms of innovation and creation. They not only took better care of the spiritual and material lives of workers, but also shared difficulties with unfortunate fates and offered help to poor children in remote border areas.

Sharing difficulties with unfortunate fates

One of significant activities done by provincial trade unions at all levels is to accompany workers with extremely difficult circumstances.

Provincial Industrial Parks’ Trade Union has just given gifts for workers with extremely difficult circumstances. Mai Thanh Thao, President of the Trade Union said that these significant-but-small gifts were the great significance for unfortunate fates, helping them rise up in life.

Over the past time, along with “Gathering in Tet holiday” and “Sentimental spring bus” programs, provincial Trade Unions at all levels offered timely help to workers hit by fatal illness, accidents or those with difficult circumstances. In the first half of 2019, trade union locals were proactive to coordinate with employers to organize support activities for more than 2,400 cases with billions of dong; maintained the “House of Trade Union” Fund, loan support funds…with roughly 9,600 borrowers with more than VND237billion disbursed…

Bringing joy to children in border areas

Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that after 4-year operation, the “beloved notebook, book” program has not only brought the joy to workers’ offspring with difficult circumstances, but also come with poor-but-excellent pupils in border areas in Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong provinces and received enthusiastic response from trade union locals.

In response to the program, Shang Hung Cheng Co.Ltd. offered 2,000 notebooks, 120 sets of textbooks and nearly 2,600 sets of old clothes worth VND80million to pupils in Binh Phuoc province’s Loc Tan and Loc Thang border communes with difficulties. The company’s trade union local also visited and donated 3 gifts worth VND1million each to heroic Vietnamese mothers together 2 gifts worth VND1million each to poor households in Loc Tan commune.

Ngo Duc Thang, Head of Loc Tan border post said that the lives of people in border areas are still very poor. Hence, such programs were very significant. It is hoped that the program will continue being implemented so that children and people in border areas will get more help in order to rise up in life…
