On May 4, the provincial department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a training class on safe vegetable and fruit production on VietGAP standards.

The training class lured participation of over 40 farmstead owners, organizations and individuals involving in vegetable and fruit production. Participants enjoyed production processes of vegetables and fruits in line with VietGAP standards as well as learnt about procedures of VietGAP recognition. In addition, they were introduced to organizations of registering safe products.

At presents, the local area of vegetable and fruit in according to VietGAP standards has been implemented by many producers but granting of VietGAP certificate remains limited. In reality, the local farmers’ demand on recognition of VietGAP standards is very high.
