Rubber trees contribute to bringing many households

Dau Tieng district’s advantage is the agricultural production with a total farming land of nearly 9,000 ha. To uphold the advantage, the district over time worked harder on shifting its agricultural structure; focused on developing perennial trees like rubber and hi-yield cashew; promoted the animal husbandry under the industrial formula; accelerated the industrialization and modernization for agricultural and rural development…

 

As a result, Dau Tieng district’s agricultural production saw positive changes at a 4.6% growth over the past five years. The district’s agricultural structure was shifted towards growth of the growing land for perennial trees. The district also constantly applied new sci-tech advancements in agricultural production for better results.

 

In terms of services, Dau Tieng district made efforts in rural business development with many markets built. The district fulfilled the detail construction planning for Minh Tan, Long Tan, Thanh An, An Lap markets; granted businesses certificates to 1,640 households, bringing the total number of such households to 1,834 with a total registered capital of VND168.5bln…

 

Dau Tieng district also focused on investing infrastructure for industrial development. The district has so far completed the planning work for Thanh An industrial compound and absorbed 33 businesses with a total registered capital of VND92.3bln, lifting the total number of businesses making investment herein up 78 and 92 production-businesses establishments, creating jobs for rural laborers.

 

Such these apart, Dau Tieng district paid attention to fields of education and health, bringing considerable results: The ratio of the qualified teachers accounted for 99.05%; the ratio of pupils passing graduation exams exceeded the set targets. 100% of people got access to health services; 100% of children under 6 enjoyed free medical check-ups and treatment; 100% of health stations were doctorized and 100% of communes and wards were recognized as those getting national standards on health.

 

The above results came from the efforts of Dau Tieng district’s Party Committee in turning the central and province’s policies into the opportunities for the local development in the last tenure. In the 2010 and 2015 tenure, Dau Tieng district’s Party Committee will further promote the local economic structure towards growth of the agricultural production; focus on fully tapping the local industrial development potentials and many industrial park and compound projects approved by the province.

 

It is believed that the district’s Party Committee will further promote the local economic growth, ensure social welfare and fulfill the targets set out by the 3rd Party congress of the district for the 2010 and 2015 tenure.
