Accepting contract of offering meals for factories, Mr. Le Quang Hoang realized the costly vegetables for his business. Taking advantage of a farmer, Hoang worked out the VAC model (combination of Vuon (garden), Ao (pond), and Chuong (farmstead)) to deliver safe foods to his customers.
Mr. Le Quang Hoang, from Thai Binh Province, is now the owner of Bach Dang Restaurant residing at Binh Hung Hamlet, Bach Dang Commune in Tan Uyen Town. He is also the owner of meal supplier to factories and schools. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thao, Hoang’s wife, from Quang Tri Province, has quit her job as a teacher to stay at home for housework, children care, and business support for her husband.
Hoang renovates the rice farm into VAC model effectively
Hoang retold the time of hardship seeking for job in Binh Duong Province. After finishing his accounting course, an unnamed person offered him a job introduction with a cost of VND 20 million which was given from his parents. He did not use the money for job seeking but for business in Southern region of Vietnam.
“In the 1995 and 1996, my parents had worked hard to save up such a great amount to them,” Hoang said. Such circumstance prompted him to earn more for his parents.
Hoang came to Khanh Binh of Tan Uyen Town to buy a land slot for later housing. He, then, applied to an FDI enterprise to work as an accountant. After saving up a little amount, he contributed to his close friends’ business of offering meals to factories. On the available land slot, he built motels for rent and accommodating his parents. He, then, moved to Bach Dang Commune to expand his business in a peaceful and scenery locality. He built his restaurant and worked out on a VAC model.
Farming has always been his hobby; thus, he saved up to buy over 14,000 square meters of rice farm land to innovate into a garden. Anyone could flatter on the changes that he has made to the farm. He built up dikes and dug up ponds for fish and ducks. The excavated soil was used for vegetable farm. And, nearby is the row of farmsteads for tamed wild boars, local chicken, and cow to supply fresh foods.
“I take use of Bach Dang Land to offer the best pamelo and chicken to the customers,” said Hoang.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Son, the person in direct assistance to Hoang’s farm said that Hoang could deliver foods to Bach Dang Restaurant, local schools, and further markets. Hoang is offering vegetables at the cost of VND 30,000 to 35,000 a kilo harvested from modern model for safe and fresh vegetables.
Hoang’s VAC model offers jobs to 10 workers. Talking about VAC, Hoang revealed the cost of over VND 1 billion to build on the available land area.
