Vaccine – the new chance for Covid-19 prevention and control

Currently, in Vietnam and according to reports of the Ministry of Health and localities, the epidemic situation across the country is basically under good control. However, the Covid-19 epidemic is still complicated and unpredictable, so we should not be neglected and subjective but must continue to actively implement disease prevention and control measures along with the "5K" message of Ministry of Health to protect health for themselves, their families and the community.

A new hope for the control of Covid-19 epidemic has been apart from the measures taken against the epidemic but the preventive vaccine against Covid-19. The government also has planned for purchase and inspection so as to put into use those vaccines in the near future. It is expected that in the future and in the long term, people will be vaccinated against Covid-19 free of charge, just like the expanded vaccination program and vaccination services at health facilities.

Covid-19 vaccine consists of two doses given in two injections. After the first injection, antibodies against the virus are not yet generated and the second dose is required. During the period between the first and second injections, the injected person must still be considered as a person who has not been vaccinated. Besides, for the time being, we cannot vaccinate all people, so even those who have been vaccinated must still strictly follow the message of "5K" and preventive measures to fight the Covid-19 epidemic under the guidance of the Ministry of Health.

Let’s keep on with Covid-19 prevention and control by the motto of vaccine and “5K” without being neglected.
