Vietnam logs 100 new COVID-19 infections

As many as 100 new COVID-19 infections, including five imported cases, were confirmed in the last six hours to 12pm on June 22, lifting the national tally to 13,630, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

Among the locally-transmitted cases, 37 were detected in Ho Chi Minh City, 33 in Binh Duong, 10 in Bac Giang, four in Da Nang, two in Ha Tinh, and one in Bac Ninh, Vinh Long, Long An and Dong Nai each.

So far, Vietnam counted 11,922 domestic cases, and 1,708 imported ones. As many as 10,352 cases were recorded since the fourth wave of outbreaks hit the country on April 27.

The death toll related to COVID-19 is 69.

Among the active patients, 377 have tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, 132 twice and 141 thrice.

Eighteen provinces that were hit by the pandemic have gone through 14 days without new infections./.
