This is the first time Vietnam has obtained high prizes in the FIAP’s colour photo contest. Among them, a photo entitled “Help” by photographer Pham Duc won a gold medal and another themed “New Smile” by photographer Vu Thi Tinh a bronze.

Those prizes will be meaningful presents for Vietnamese photographers at the 30th FIAP Congress in Hanoi which will take place on August 1-8.

At the event, Vietnam will also host a jury for the FIAP’s traditional contest of black-and-white photos. Also, CDs consisting of high value images of Vietnam’s landscape and people will be offered to delegates as presents.

In addition, the Vietnamese Photographers’ Association will organise an exhibition of 100 photos which have gained prizes at domestic and foreign contests.
