Wheelchairs donated to seriously wounded soldiers

A delegation from provincial Association in Support of Disable People, Orphans and Poor Patients yesterday visited and presented 100 wheelchairs worth VND5mln each to 60 seriously wounded soldiers (photo) and 40 disable people across the province, together with gifts worth VND300,000 each to mark the 65th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).

Prior to that, provincial Association in Support of Disable People, Orphans and Poor Patients also cooperated with provincial Buddhist Sangha to donate scholarships and wheelchairs to orphans, disable people and war invalids’ children with a total expense of VND676mln; provided loans for the families of war invalids and martyrs and those who rendered services to the revolution in Tan Uyen district’s two communes of Tan My and Lac An.
