At the ground-breaking ceremony of Hoi An Temple at Binh Duong New City.

The provincial Buddhism Society held a ground- breaking ceremony of Hoi An Temple on Le Hoan Road at Binh Duong New City on Feb. 11 with the participation of Nguyen Thanh Liem, head of the provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission.

As designed, the 4,600sqm Hoi An temple includes pre-chamber, central chamber, 2 towers… with the cost of about VND35bil.

Also the same day, reps of Chinese community in Thu Dau Mot town held a ground- breaking ceremony of Thien Hau Lady Temple, next Hoi An Temple at Binh Duong New City. The 4,000sqm temple has a building expense of over VND10bil. Right in the ground-breaking ceremony, the organizing board held a procession of Lady palanquin from Thien Hau Lady Temple in Phu Cuong ward to the new pagoda. The palanquin will be placed here until the fifteen day of the first lunar month.

Vuong Vinh Thang, head of the committee for Lady temple building, said Lady Temple festival will be held at the both temples annually.
