Workers' initiatives bring businesses hundreds of billions of dong

Early November 15, provincial People's Committee organized the 2023 conference commending and rewarding "Good workers, creative workers", in attendance of Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, trade union officials at all levels and hundreds of talented workers in the province.

Many good initiatives

In 2023, the emulation movement of "Working well, working creatively” in the province has continued being widely deployed by provincial trade unions at all levels to each enterprise and employee. Accordingly, workers across the province have made thousands of initiatives in production and have benefited businesses hundreds of billions of dong. During the year, Binh Duong has had 7 typical initiatives honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor at the Nguyen Duc Canh award.

Right from the beginning of the year, provincial Labor Union launched emulation movements and received positive response from workers and businesses. Particularly, provincial Labor Union has attached special importance to the emulation movement of "Working well, creative workers" and the movement of "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in the activities of trade unions" to stimulate creativity and enthusiasm, improving productivity, quality, efficiency in work...

As a result, workers across the province have made thousands of initiatives in production and have benefited businesses hundreds of billions of dong. At the conference, provincial People's Committee commended and awarded the certificates of merit to 253 workers with outstanding initiatives. Tran Thi Hang, Production Group Leader of Sonova Operations Center Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Thuan An city has spent 18 years working at the company. She has always strived to successfully complete tasks, ensuring productivity and quality in the production process. In late 2022, Mrs. Hang implemented a project on "Improving and repairing Electric Module" used to assemble hearing aids. Even though, components and 100% new batteries were replaced, they still had to be canceled, due to Hydbrid being defective. After changing the repair process, the company reduced the number of products that had to be destroyed and saved more than VND 9 billion.

Mrs. Hang shared: "During my work, I always actively participate and effectively implement emulation movements launched by the company and the trade union. In addition, I constantly learn from my predecessors and foreign experts to improve my skills and create an enthusiastic atmosphere to compete in production". In early 2023, she was rewarded by the company's directorate for her positive and effective contribution to improvement activities at the company.

Maximizing employees’ creativity

At the conference, Mr. Nhan encouraged and praised all workers in the province for their efforts in creativity, benefiting businesses as well as joining hands to build up a prosperous province. According to him, the movement of "Working well, working creatively” has been organized and launched by provincial Labor Union in coordination with provincial People's Committee for a long time. The movement has spread widely to businesses and all workers, thereby creating more and more initiatives in technical innovation that have brought great benefits to businesses.

These initiatives have not only saved the number of laborers in production lines, but also saved input materials, increased the value of products, thereby helping businesses compete in each product on the market. If employees' initiatives bring benefits to businesses, businesses will take better care of the lives of workers.

"For this movement reaching better development, provincial trade unions at all levels need to promote propaganda to each enterprise. Along with that, they need to replicate models and improvements, bringing this movement to all businesses, including small and medium-sized ones. They must also exchange with businesses about paying adequate attention and encouragement to employees when employees' initiatives bring benefits to businesses, creating a good working environment with timely rewards…”, Mr. Nhan said.

Possibly speaking, outstanding workers honored in 2023 are the most beautiful "flowers" in the  "Working well, working creatively” emulation movement of the province. They have significantly contributed to the production and business results of businesses in particular and the socio-economic development results of Binh Duong in general.

*Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union: The outstanding individuals considered for reward by provincial People's Committee in 2023 are workers directly engaged in production at enterprises in the province (with trade unions), including managers, deputy heads of workshops, production group leaders, engineers, workers...; Those who have worked and devoted 3 years or more and always excellently complete assigned tasks. They have many initiatives that have been applied into reality, bringing about socio-economic benefits, contributing to improving regimes, policies, and benefits for all employees at the unit…

*Nguyen Thanh Viet, an engineer of Fujikura Fiber Optics Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Thuan An city: With the assigned task of monitoring, controlling and improving the production process, shortening processing time for products; analyzing risks and taking actions to improve product quality; preventing potential risks on the production line, promptly evaluating and handling arising problems..., I always strive to complete my tasks excellently. I always think of improving the efficiency of the company's operations. Therefore, I made an initiative to standardize and improve automation to simplify operations, improving quality and contributing to help the company save more than VND 3.8 billion.

*Duong Thanh Thuan, a worker at Hoya Lens Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Thu Dau Mot city: I have worked for many years as a maintenance worker at the company's final inspection department and always think of how to optimize the process that is undertaken by me. In late 2022, the company's CT400 label printer broke down while there was no replacement equipment. I researched and improved the use of old label printers along with old equipment to replace the CT400 printer and my initiative was recognized and rewarded by the company's directorate... I think when the employees' initiatives are applied and promoted well in production, enterprises will operate effectively. When businesses operate effectively, employees' jobs and income will be stable and the working environment will also be better and safer.
