Youth Federations at all levels focus on gathering, uniting youths

Over the past five years, provincial Youth Federations at all levels attached special importance to gathering, uniting youths. The local youths also upheld their strong points in socio-economic development, ensuring social welfare and volunteering for the sake of the community.

Gathering youth blocs

Provincial Youth Federations at all levels paid more attention to gathering and uniting youths, especially young workers for the 2014-2019 tenure via many practical models, namely “fund for alien youths with extremely difficult circumstances”, “model youth lodging facility”, “dream room”…Many programs taking care of young workers’ offspring, building up a core youth force  at lodging facilities, companies…were also organized.

In the 2014-2020 tenure, provincial Youth Federation established 3 clubs, 5 sub-unions for young entrepreneurs, 5 sub-unions for young physicians…Along with development in terms of quantity, the operational quality of provincial Youth Federations at all levels was improved obviously with features of a socio-political organization for youths.

Effectiveness from grassroots

In the last tenure, models, clubs, teams and groups from provincial Youth Federation created an environment for the local youths to bring into full play their professional knowledge. The movement of “Youths volunteering for community’s health” and the journey of “Young physicians following Uncle Ho’s teachings, volunteering for community’s health” was one of activities effectively realized with the enthusiastic participation of young physicians’ clubs from districts, towns and TDM city. Over the past five years, the Young Physicians’ Club organized 33 free healthcare programs, provided gifts and medicine for 2,800 needy people with a total cost of more than VND400million.

Pham Chien Thang, Secretary of Di An town’s Youth Union said that over the past time, the town’s Young Physicians’ Association set up a youth clinic at Ngoc Hong hospital in Di An ward’s Dong Tan quarter. The association provided free medical check-up, medicine for young workers; coordinated with the town’s Youth Union to organize free healthcare programs and give gifts for poor households in Ben Tre, Long An, Binh Phuoc…

The Young Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Di An town and Tan Uyen town also offered Tet, mid-autumn gifts for pupils at charity classes and donated houses of compassion to youths with difficult circumstances. Besides, volunteer clubs, groups in communes, wards and quarters…were places for the local youths to uphold their voluntary spirit and specialist knowledge through deeds for the sake of the community.
