Candidates all have good qualities

Standing Committee of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has handed over profiles of 13 eligible candidates to run for the deputy election of 15th National Assembly and 120 candidates for the 10th provincial People's Council 2021-2026 to Provincial Election Commission. According to assessment of Provincial Election Commission, the candidates meet particular standards of the Central and the province; has strong political stance; have good professional competence, experience, and have good ethics.

To complete steps of consultation process on candidate nomination

Binh Duong has done very well steps of the consultation and consensus reaching process, introducing candidates. Specifically, step 1, to organize the first Consultation Conference to reach consensus on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for deputies of the 15th National Assembly and provincial People's Council 2021-2026 term on Feb 5. Step 2, agencies, organizations and units introduced candidates for deputies of the 15th National Assembly and provincial People's Council 2021-2026 from Feb 24 to Mar 11. Step 3, to organize the second Consultation Conference to reach consensus on the preliminary list of candidates for deputies of the 15th National Assembly and provincial People's Council 2021-2026 on Mar 18. Step 4, to hold a conference to collect comments and confidence of voters for 16 candidates for the 15th National Assembly's deputies and 121 candidates for provincial People's Council's deputies from Mar 28 to Apr 11. At step 4, Standing Committee of provincial Fatherland Front Committee also sent a document to collect comments and confidence of voters at workplace of 6 self-nominated candidates according to regulations.

At conferences to collect comments and confidence of voters at residential place of candidates, all candidates were appreciated and assessed to be qualified for the people's deputies.

On Apr 16, Standing Committee of provincial Fatherland Front Committee held the third Consultation Conference to select and make a list of qualified candidates for the deputy election of the 15th National Assembly and provincial People's Council. Based on results of the 3rd Consultation Conference, Standing Committee of provincial Fatherland Front Committee completed the minutes of Consultation Conference and an official list of qualified candidates for the deputy election; then handed over the minutes to Provincial Election Commission and the list of 13 qualified candidates. According to Nguyen Van Loc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, candidates are qualified in accordance with the law.

Voters trust and appreciate candidates

At conferences collect comments and confidence of voters at residential place of candidates, voters promoted democracy, gave candid comments to make a good basis for the selection of qualified candidates. Specifically, in Thuan An city, Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An city made an official list of 59 qualified candidates for city People's Council's deputies; 10/10 communes and wards have made a list of 450 candidates for People's Council's deputies at communes and wards. Similarly, in other localities, the work of making official lists of qualified candidates for People's Council's deputies at all levels was also completed on schedule.

At district and commune levels, as of Apr 13, Standing Committee of Fatherland Front Committee at district and commune levels completed conferences to collect comments and confidence of voters at residential place of 526 candidates for People's Councils at district level and 4,248 candidates for People's Council at commune level. Thus, up to now, the collection of comments and confidence of voters at residential place of candidates in the province has been completed and be on schedule. Vo Thi Tuyet Nhung, Vice Chairwoman of Fatherland Front Committee of North Tan Uyen District, said that through conference to collect comments and confidence of voters at residential place of candidates, the people appreciated candidates for professional qualifications and practical capacity.

These voters' conferences guaranteed fully composition, number and content according to regulations. At the conferences, voters promoted democracy; based on standards, qualifications, capabilities and responsibilities of candidates stated in profiles to express their objective, fair opinions, cast confidence vote for candidates nominated by agencies, units or organizations; demonstrated voters' rights and responsibilities in the selection of talented, qualified candidates.
