Giving strength to workers’ offspring

On the occasion of the 2018-2019 new academic year, the offspring of workers in the province have continued receiving the attention and support of Trade Unions at all levels. This has contributed to helping workers keep their mind on work and have long attachment with Binh Duong homeland.

Significance from a program

Provincial Labor Union has just held a ceremony to offer scholarships, life-jackets and bicycles to the offspring of workers with extremely difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 2018-2019 new academic year. Particularly, the Children’s Support Fund under the Vietnam Trade Union and Asama Co.Ltd. awarded 40 scholarships worth VND500,000 each together with 10 bicycles to needy workers’ offspring with extremely difficult circumstances. The Trade Union of the Children’s Support Fund under the Vietnam Trade Union presented 1,000 life-jackets to the targeted people.

The whole province now has more than 1 million workers, 85% of whom are immigrant ones. Over the past time, they made great contributions to the local development.  The local authorities and Trade Unions at all levels have always paid attention to taking care of the spiritual and material lives of laborers. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that along with the province’s policies for laborers, provincial Labor Union over the past time instructed the local Trade Unions at all levels to mobilize agencies, units, businesses and individuals to join hands in child protection, care and education. Noticeably, P&G Vietnam Co.Ltd. accompanied provincial Labor Union to award scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils. It is known that during the past 22 years, provincial Labor Unions at all levels awarded “Making dreams come true” scholarships to the offspring of laborers with difficult circumstances. In 2018, provincial Labor Union has launched a program named “Beloved notebooks”, aiming to support the offspring of needy laborers on the occasion of the 2018-2019 new academic year.

These days, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have actively taken care of the spiritual and material lives of workers’ offspring.

The Trade Union of Dat Hoa Plastic Co.Ltd. is a typical example for the above-mentioned thing. So far, the Trade Union has paid attention to organizing recreational activities and offering gifts for needy workers’ offspring with good academic results; coordinated with the company’s directorate to build a tenement house with nearly 100 rooms for workers; built a kindergarten for workers’ offspring at 6 and 24 months of age; set up the Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship fund, helping poor workers’ offspring with good academic results further pursue their learning…

Similarly, the Trade Union of Panko Vina Co.Ltd. at Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc Industrial Park has taken good care of workers’ offspring via many significant activities. The Trade Union is expected to organize a mid-autumn festival for workers’ offspring on the evening of September 15. Besides, Shyang Hung Cheng Co.Ltd. also held a mid-autumn festival for workers’ offspring with significant activities.
