Gratitude houses of military-people awarded to ethnic people of harsh circumstances

The Party Committee and Military Command of Phu Giao district in coordination with the People's Committee of An Linh commune held a ceremony to hand over a house of gratitude as part of house awarding to ethnic households in difficult circumstances living in the area of An Linh commune in Phu Giao district.

The house was awarded to family of Thach Thi Nga, born in 1964, a Khmer living at Hamlet 6 of An Linh Commune as a household of residential drawbacks. The house is of over 60 square meters and was constructed in bricks, metal roof and ceramic floor. The construction cost VND 90 million, VND 80 million of which was donated by Military Command of Phu Giao district. The remaining amount was funded by family of Mrs. Nga for a better looking home. Besides, the local Military Command has also offered over 30 days of construction which was valued at VND 12 million.

At the handover ceremony, the leaders of the Military Command of the province and district also presented Mrs. Nga's household with some essential items. The commune authorities and donors donated more than VND 10 million to Mrs. Nga's family to purchase more household items and complete the interior decoration of the house to facilitate the family's living.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Su, Commander of the Phu Giao District Military Command, said that in recent years, the local Party Committee and district Military Command Committee have always determined with the emulation movement of "the district armed forces joining hands for people being poor and leaving no one behind ” as an important political task. Since then, the local Party Committee of the district Military Command have focused on leading, directing and unifying awareness to build up a positive spirit and attitude of responsibility in activities, especially family-oriented activities.
