Land-use planning until 2020 and ending term of 2016-2020 announced

In the morning of June 20, the provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce and publicize the land use planning up to 2020 and the final land use plan of 2016-2020. Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

According to the Resolution No. 59 / NQ-CP dated May 17, 2018 of the Government approving the adjustment of land use planning up to 2020 and the final land use plan (2016-2020) in Binh Duong province, in 2020, the agricultural land area of ​​the whole province is 190,535 ha, accounting for 70.7%; Non-agricultural land area is 78,929 ha, accounting for 29.3%; no unused land. In the final period of 2016-2020, the area of ​​agricultural land to be converted into non-agricultural land in 2016 shall be 178 hectares; in 2017 shall be 3,333 hectares; in 2018 shall be 8,483 hectares; and by 2020 it shall be 4.127 hectares; Conversion of land use structure within agricultural land is 10 ha in 2016; 551 ha in 2017; 351 ha in 2018; 273 ha in 2019 and 350 ha in 2020.

Addressing the meeting, Mai Hung Dung requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to publicize the land use planning up to 2020 and the final land use plan of 2016-2020 in Binh Duong province; completing maps in the planning. People's Committees of districts, towns and cities shall review and finalize the list of land acquisition in the locality to propagate land law so that people can firmly grasp the regulations, use the land for the right purposes, efficiently, protect the environment and develop sustainably.
