Update: 09-11-2018 | 10:17:15

Preservation board of Dau Tung Temple is carrying out restoration and embellishment of Dau Tieng Temple, which is located in quarter 3, Dau Tieng town, and was titled by King Tu Duc in 1852.

Dau Tieng Temple was recognized by Provincial People's Committee as province-level historical and cultural relic in 2009. The temple is a place for spiritual activities of local people. During the two resistance wars, the temple was the refuge and gathering place of the revolutionary forces, many times being bombed by enemy aircraft. After the Liberation Day, the people contributed labor and materials to the renovation of this temple in 1985, 2002, 2006, and 2008. However, the house is damaged much and needs to be restored to provide people with a place for the organization of annual festivals.

The restoration will be completed in late December 2018, with a total cost of over VND800 million, which was donated by benefactors and local people. The restoration of Dau Tieng Temple contributes to preserving and promoting fine cultural traditions of the nation.
