Nearly 400 people give blood

Early March 10, Tan Uyen town’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center held the first voluntary blood donation campaign of 2017.

The campaign absorbed nearly 400 officials, civil servants and laborers from communes, wards, mass organizations and firms in the town. As a result, the center collected 287 units of blood, equivalent to 10,045 milliliters of blood.

It is known that this year’s target of the Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation is to collect 1,200 units of blood. From now till late 2017, the Steering Board will strive to surpass the set target with 4 voluntary blood donation campaigns to be organized.
