Nearly VND 3.2 billion of Binh Duong provincial Trade Union paid to support workers affected by Covid-19

In the morning of July 20, the Trade Union of Binh Duong province said that as of July 18, in the province, there were 520 units and enterprises with a total of more than 52,000 workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Of which, 1,400 employees were F0 and 11,845 workers were F1; F2 are isolated at home as required, which are 16,484 workers. There are 22,250 people in the areas under lockdown. In particular, 129 units and businesses affected by the Covid-19 epidemic had to stop operating or reduce production to focus on epidemic prevention and control, causing nearly 90,000 employees to stop working.

Before the difficulties of workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Trade Union of Binh Duong province supported 2,337 cases with a total amount of nearly VND 3.2 billion. In addition, all levels of colleges in the province visited and supported 48 frontline units in epidemic prevention and control with a total amount of nearly VND 2 billion. In which, the expenditure from the union budget is VND 706 million and from the socialization mobilization source of nearly VND 1.3 billion including many essential necessities to promptly support the isolation areas and localities under lockdown.

At the same time, the provincial Trade Union received 4 tons of vegetables supported by the public, and, at the same time organized the distribution along with 2 tons of rice to the blockade areas with a large number of workers in the area of ​​​​Thuan An, Thu Dau Mot, and Shyang Hung Cheng Company at An Thanh production cluster in Thuan An city.
