*Under the “Sentimental bus” program 2018, nearly 20,000 outstanding workers with extremely difficult circumstances were taken to home for Tet. In 2018, the province has spent the local State budget on giving over 4,000 bus tickets for workers to return for Tet. More than 100 enterprises have also taken 20,000 workers to return home for Tet. Especially, MobiFone has supported 500 train tickets for workers to come back home for Tet.

*With the significance of “paying tribute to laborers”, trade union locals in the province have organize year-end parties with such animated activities as art performances, lucky draw programs with attractive prizes worth more than VND52billion. Along with this, province-based enterprises have offered 150,000 Tet gifts worth between VND100,000-VND500,000 to workers.

*Thuan An town’s Steering Board of the Project on “Uniting and gathering young workers” for the period of 2016-2020 has just partially reviewed the implementation of the project in 2017.

Last year, the Steering Board set up 17 sub-unions for young workers with 942 members, 3 non-state sub-unions for young workers with 103 members; organized 27 weekend playgrounds…

*On the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2018, Tan Uyen town’s Labor Union in collaboration with the People’s Committees of Thai Hoa, Thanh Phuoc wards and Thanh Hoi commune has just presented 108 gifts worth VND500,000 each and 46 gifts with a total value of VND43million for alien workers with difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the town’s Center for Culture-Sports also held an art performance for young workers and locals.

*On February 2, provincial Study Promotion Society awarded 100 scholarships worth VND5million each to primary, secondary and high schools, funded by the Hang Huu foundation and Dai Nam Joint Stock Company (photo).

The scholarship program aimed to help the local poor-but-excellent pupils surmount difficulties and rise up in learning, contributing to building a learning-based society.
