During the operational process in Vietnam, along with achievements in business and technical initiatives, P&G Company has offered help to hundreds of thousands of unfortunate people nationwide through many significant activities.

Contributions to local development

So far, P&G Company has worked in Vietnam for 25 years with well-known trademarks like Pampers, Tide, Ariel, Whisper, Pantene, Downy, Oral-B, Olay, Head & Shoulder, Gillette…Along with effective business activities, the company has paid attention to projects for the community’s sustainable development with strategic, close coordination together with sectors, departments and organizations, namely Binh Duong provincial Labor Union, the Central Committee of Vietnam Women’s Union, the Central Committee of Vietnam Red Cross Society, UNICEF…

In Binh Duong province, the company accompanied provincial Labor Union in awarding “Making dreams come true” scholarships to the offspring of officials, civil servants, laborers with difficult circumstances over the past 24 years. The company’s staff also visited and offered gifts to province-based nursing houses, centers for orphans on Tet and great holidays…

In addition, the company has attached special importance to environmental protection with such practical activities as organizing a program on planting green trees in Binh Duong new city among staff; offering chairs, wastebaskets, flowerpots…to primary schools; implementing movements minimizing plastic waste…

Significant activities with long values to community

Since 2012, P&G Vietnam company has coordinated with Habitat for Humanity Vietnam to build and upgrade houses for 60 needy households together with standard toilet works for primary schools in the Mekong Delta region with a total cost of nearly VND3billion and the participation of approximately 500 volunteers.

Over the past three years, the “Clean water for children” program co-held by the company and Vietnam Red Cross Society also provided 130,000 households in areas facing the lack of water and heavily hit by national disasters such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, QuangBinh, Long An, An Giang, Dong Thap with clean water…The program contributed to reducing the rate of illness from the use of polluted water, thereby helping improving the lives of the local people.

The company also attached special importance to carrying out many social programs promoting the development of women, namely “Breakthrough”, “Women advancing”, “Stable job-Bright future”…for many consecutive years. With its ceaseless efforts in sustainable development projects, the company was also awarded noble prizes, including the second-class Labor Medal, the certificate of merit of the PM for FDI business with considerable contributions to Vietnamese economy in 2018; the award of the American Business Association on corporate social responsibility for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019; the certificate of merit of Vietnam Women’s Union; the certificate of merit of the Central Committee of Vietnam Red Cross Society…

The company has just been awarded the certificate of merit of HCM city’s People’s Committee Chairman and the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for its contributions to Covid-19 prevention and control.
