Thanks to propaganda work well realized, patriotic emulation movements in Phu Giao district have received enthusiastic response from officials, Party members and people.

A glance of Phuoc Vinh township today

The district has attached special importance to realizing patriotic emulation movements in agricultural production, namely “Good farmer in production-business”, “The whole district joining hands to build new rural areas”…Along with this, units and mass organizations in the district have launched a lot of emulation movements on socio-economic development in line with the local real situation, including “War veterans helping each other in poverty reduction and economic development”, “Women helping each other in economic development”, “Well working, creatively working”…The district has also actively promoted many other emulation movements, namely “Good learning, good teaching”, “Agencies, units and enterprises with cultural standards”, “All people protecting national security”…All the emulation movements have contributed to the local socio-economic development.

Doan Van Dong, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that the district has organized annual reward-emulation activities for the local patriotic emulation movements. With enthusiastic response of people from all strata, patriotic emulation movements have actually become an important motivation for the district to victoriously implement tasks on socio-economic development, national defence-security.

Exemplary role-models

Many outstanding individuals in socio-economic development have emerged in the district through the above patriotic emulation movements. The district’s War Veterans’ Society is a typical example for this with role-models, namely Nguyen Huu Van, Nguyen Quang Tren in Phuoc Hoa commune; Phung Van Thuc in Tam Lap commune; Tong Anh Pha in Phuoc Vinh township…

Nguyen Quang Tren is also one of typical members of the society in surmounting difficulties to rise up. Currently, he possesses a perennial tree-growing farmstead of 12 hectares. The farmstead brings him a stable source of income while creating regular and seasonal jobs for 18 laborers. He is also the owner of a furniture workshop, generating jobs for 6 laborers with the average income of between VND5million and VND6million per person per month. In addition, he has so far offered help of hundreds of millions of dong to hundreds of difficult cases in and out of the province.

The patriotic emulation movements of the district’s Women’s Union have also taken place animatedly with good models and typical individuals. Nguyen Thi Hoa in An Binh commune’s Binh An hamlet is well-known as a member leading emulation movements launched by the local Women’s Union. Over the past time, she provided VND78million in interest free loan for 12 women; nurslings and breeding animals worth VND45million for 6 others to develop production models. Especially, she donated 310 meters of land worth VND300million to poor women in need of housing.

Mr.Dong said that the district will further promote patriotic emulation movements, contributing to victoriously realizing the Resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, building strong and pure Party organizations with concrete tasks, including strengthening urban rejuvenation and order; improving the effectiveness of administrative reform; fulfilling the local new rural construction program…
