Phu Giao district Fatherland Front Committee promote its role in new rural construction

Phu Giao district at present has a good infrastructure with many upgraded rural roads; schools are spacious, the environment is green, clean, and beautiful. These are the result of efforts from the Party, authorities and people in the district to implement National target program on new rural construction. In particular, the district Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) has promoted its key role and contributed significantly to the new rural construction.

Hoang Quoc Huong, Chairman of Phu Giao district VFFC, said: "In recent years, VFFC of Phu Giao and other socio-political organizations throughout the district have identified new rural construction as an important task in the process of socio-economic development. In particular, VFFC focused on communication to the people. At present, the district VFFC is actively advising Party committees at all levels, cooperating with local government and new rural construction’s steering committee to select main contents of each period to effectively implement, practical criteria suitable with the situation of each locality, contributing to the successful implementation of national target program on new rural construction".

With a wide range of activities, Phu Giao district VFFC promoted its key role in propaganda and mobilizing people to enhance economic development and build cultural life. The district VFFC actively collaborated with other departments, unions, steering committees in communes to enhance propaganda and dissemination of guidelines of the Party, policies, laws of the State, and purposes, meanings of the program to all people classes, helping people understand the rights and responsibilities in the new rural construction.

At the same time, the VFFC instructed grassroots VFFCs and members to implement and integrate new rural construction contents of into conferences, meetings or in association with specific movements and activities, such as: "Farmers with emulation movement of excellent production and doing business", "Women actively learn, work, create, and build happy families", "Exemplary veterans" , "Phu Giao youth join hands for new rural construction" ... These activities raised the sense of responsibility about the campaign "All people unite to build a new cultural life in residential areas” tied to national program of new rural construction. So far, Phu Giao district has hundreds of households donating lands, contributing billions of VND and hundreds of working days to build infrastructure and rural roads.

In addition, the district VFFC also directly collaborated with the district Office of Natural Resources and Environment to set up self-managed groups for environmental protection. At present, there are 29 self-managed environmental protection groups operating effectively in the district. On the other hand, member organizations of the district VFFC also developed and implemented effectively models that contribute greatly to new rural construction development, such as the collection of agricultural materials in fields, agricultural production areas of Farmers' Association; self-managed road of local Veterans Association, Women's Union, Youth Union...

"In the coming time, VFFC and mass organizations in the district will continue to innovate our operation and method, promote the movement among members and the people, utilize resources and mobilize the entire population to participate in building and improving the quality of new rural construction criteria in the locality", said Mr. Huong.
