Provincial DoLISA continues taking care of revolutionary contributors

Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee made the statement at a conference reviewing activities of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) and extending tasks for 2017 held on the morning of January 23.

In 2016, the whole province generated jobs for 45,500 laborers, gave vocational training for more than 31,900 learners…Provincial DoLISA also spent VND638billion on taking care of revolutionary contributors and disadvantaged people; guided localities to survey poverty using multi-dimensional approach…As a result, the whole province now has a total of 3,889 poor households and 2,780 near-poor ones in the period of 2016-2020.

Mr.Hung asked for provincial DoLISA to instruct localities and relevant agencies to carry out activities marking the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27); pay attention to well realizing the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction; speed up dissemination in the field of laborers, revolutionary contributors and poor people; map out concrete programs, solutions for social evils…

On this occasion, provincial DoLISA’s Job Placement Center was awarded the second-class Labor Medal. Phan Van Nam, a staff of the center also received the certificate of merit of Prime Minister. Besides, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs presented the mementos “For the cause of the sector of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs” to 28 individuals.
