Provincial festival for pupils, students held

Early January 8, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, Students’Association Secretariat held a ceremony to kick off the 2019 festival for students and pupils at Thu Dau Mot University, celeberating the 90th founding anniversary of the Party Communist of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-February 3, 2020), the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese students, Vietnam Students’Asociation (January 9, 1950-January 9, 2020) and the 10th founding anniversary of provincial Students’Association (January 8, 2010-January 8, 2020).

The festival took place animatedly with many significant activities, including opening a photo exhibition; exchanging with outstanding young Party members; signing a joint program on supporting students, pupils with difficult circumstances...

On this occassion, provincial Youth Union honored 70 outstanding collectives, individuals in the campaign of setting achievements in celeberation of the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese students, Vietnam Students’Asociation. Provincial Youth Union also coordinated with Binh Duong Lottery One-Member Co.Ltd. to offer 100 Tet gifts to 100 students, pupils with difficult circumstances. In addition, Vietcombank’s Binh Duong branch awarded 30 scholarships worth VND150,000 each to needy students at Thu Dau Mot University...

On the afternoon of the same day, the festival continued taking place with such meaningful activities as dancing items from students, pupils’clubs and groups; competitions on apricot, peach arrangment, “banh chung” (square glutinous rice cake) making, “Ringing the golden bell” under the theme of “Constant faith with the Party”...

Following a stage program themed “Being proud of tradition of Binh Duong’s students, pupils advancing”, the festival honored students winning the title of “Student with five good performances” and “January’s star” award at central and provincial levels and those who gained excellent achievements in the students’movements between 2010-2020.
